For a long time now I have dreamt of quitting the 9-5 daily grind, blowing everything off and jumping on the next plane to anywhere. In roughly 5 weeks that dream will become reality. I've officially handed in my resignation and am prepping for the first leg of my solo adventure. First stop- Bali.
Initially, I had booked a 1 month trip with every intention to come home and continue at my work place- those Jetstar sales will get ya! But as the months crept on and more and more cheap flights popped up I thought f*ck it and booked Singapore, Vietnam and Japan too. It was a riveting feeling but a not well thought out one... nerves started to set in. This meant I would REALLY have to quit my full time job now!
Although I don't have a place of work to come home to, I am exploding with excitement none the less and can't wait to give this solo travel thing a red hot go. I plan on trying my luck at full time freelance photography work so please hit me up if you're keen to shoot when I'm back in Sydney, Australia!
I will of course be taking my trusty sidekicks (Canon 6D, 24-70mm and 50mm lenses) and will be posting daily on Instagram here. I also plan on posting weekly-fortnightly Vlogs on my YouTube channel here if you'd like to follow my movements!
Attached are a couple of snaps from my 10 day Bali stint during February last year, spent mostly around Gili Trawangan Island and Ubud. If you'd like to see more shots from Bali 2016 then head here.
